The golden formula of clean city Indore: "Indoriyon Mein Swachhta Ki Aadat"

Now, this is called “Swachhta Ki Aadat“, Indore has once again proved that why we are at the Top of the List of the Cleanest city in India for twice in a row. Cleanliness has become a part of every Indori’s life.  A day when NGOs and voluntary organizations, corporators, private firm employees, municipal officers, and residents picked up brooms as nearly 6,500 employees of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) engaged in sweeping work, took one-day leave for Goga Navmi, on 5th September 2018.

As not only the people of Indore were seen sweeping the roads and locality but even the officials took part and found doing the same job at different corners of Indore. “Employees and laborers engaged in sweeping and sanitation works were on leave for Goga Navami celebration on Wednesday, so others stepped in to do their job,” said municipal commissioner Ashish Singh who himself was seen sweeping roads at Rajwada.

The Indore municipal commissioner along with Bank staff and others did sweeping at Sarafa, Banke Bihari Temple, Gopal Mandir, and nearby locations. Officials of Crystal IT Park, Investment Firms, and other Banks also stepped in to maintain cleanliness in the city. Members of 56 Dukan Vyapari Sangh and residents of Silver Springs would take to sweeping work in different areas.
