The Kiki Challenge, formally the In My Feelings Challenge and alternatively known as the Shiggy Challenge, is taking over the internet. So if you still haven’t done it yet, you probably are 1. not a part of the cool crowd or 2. value your and others’ safety on the road. But unlike you, celebrities and other similarly high-standing individuals who comprise the society of verified social media accounts have already jumped on to this trend.

Keeping in view the increasing craze among youths to win dangerous ‘KiKi Challenge’, the city traffic police on Wednesday appealed to people to avoid it and follow traffic rules. The police have warned people against getting out from moving vehicles to perform dance, which is what the ‘kiki challenge’ is all about.

What is the Kiki Challenge?

The Kiki Challenge is a viral trend that’s taken over the (slightly young and totally impressionable of the) interwebz. It involves one person getting out of a slow moving vehicle and dancing to a few lines from Drake’s hit new song — including the signature heart move you’ve been seeing on your Instagram feed — all while the driver films this. The challenging part of this is that they must keep up with the speed and direction of the vehicle while they dance.

Additional Superintendent of Police (traffic) Prashant Choubey said such challenges are not only dangerous for performers but also for commuters. Many people all across the world have lost lives while taking up challenges like blue whale game.

Kiki challenge is the latest social media sensation that provokes people to jump out of a slowly moving vehicle and dance by its side to the tune of the song ‘In My Feeling’ sung by Canadian rapper Drake.   Choubey shared a video on Twitter. He said an awareness programme against such challenges will be held in local educational institutions to make people aware of it.
