eSports is the future of Computer Gaming Industry - "Gamer Connect" Indore Edition

“Gaming has a business of over 100 billion dollars across the globe and China is leading in it followed by the United States and European countries. However, what is flashing on the world’s map is India stories as the country have 65 percent young population while other countries have an aging population,” said Vamsi Krishna, consumer marketing head for South Asia at Nvidia.

During the  Indore’s edition of “Gamer Connect“, held on Sunday, Krishna said that the number of eSports players is increasing at a rapid pace in India with youth getting more inclined towards serious online sports than remaining a casual gamer.

“Gaming industry is a fast-growing one and with the advancements in software and machines, a large number of games are releasing every month. Earlier, it was about the graphics and machines but what gaming industry focusing now is content,” Krishna said. He said that the gaming industry needs new and engaging content.

“eSports is the only platform which has two-ways engaging entertainment unlike cricket and other sports. In next five years, gaming will be transformed into the next to reality platform and people would play real-life characters in games,” Krishna said.

Informing about the event, he said that it is the 12th edition of Gamer Connect in Indore and more than 2500 gamers from across the state participated in the event. “We have provided a platform to gamers, influencers, youths, producers and manufacturers who can share their experience, new developments and can witness the transformation in gaming together,” he added.
